Black Midi's "Schlagenheim" is a great example of a perfect debut album, with a playtime of 43 minuites and 14 seconds, this album contains a complete cycle of emotions from occasional calm periods in songs to harsh noice and screaming.

We can see a lot of narrative of these tracks, for example on the track "bmbmbm" we can hear the repetition of a woman moving with a "magnifient purpose" however we dont ever find out what this purpose is. We can also see this on track "near DT,MI" where they repeatedly talk about the water and how the water leads to death and how there is lead in the water. This song also refers to someone losing their mind which could link back to the lead in the water. We can hear a lot of violent, distorted guitar sounds on this album which suggests how intense these songs should be
